To invite the invisible is to call upon a spirit and offer something for it to reside in, speak through, or lift the world by. In this collection of sculpture, my hope was to meet something in all three actions, working my knife by following loosely and confidently, my intuition.

This is a method of practice that is sometimes left to the planning stages. Being that this is the first collection of ceramic work I have put into the world, it felt like a planning stage for all that's to come.

 

I appreciate every visitor and speak for the sculptures when I say they do too. These are the gifts that have presented themselves, and in each one I feel something to adore. I hope that you will feel the call from the invisible, that you are invited, too.
